Two people were killed and one "badly injured" in a knife attack Thursday morning in Trappes, a suburb west of Paris, according to France's National Police. The attacker was also killed, police said."After the attack, he ran into a house to hide. He left shortly afterward and threatened police before being neutralized," police said.Authorities ha【【微信】】ation of motive for the attack. The matter may ha【【微信】】, CNN's French affiliate BFM-T【【微信】】.The two people who were killed were the attacker's mother and sister, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry told CNN.Interior Minister Gérard Collomb told reporters in Trappes that "the attacker had serious psychiatric problems" and that he "was known for being a terror apologist.""He was someone who was unstable rather than committed to terrorism and who might respond to a call from ISIS," he said. The attacker was on the File for the Pre【【微信】】dicalization, a targeted watch list which focuses on would-be jihadists. The person who was seriously injured was not a member of the family, Collomb added. 【【微信】】, Calif. (KGTV) - 【【微信】】ldfires and climate change grows, one company says an old method of home building could be the answer to both problems.Rebecca Tasker is the CEO of Simple Construct. Her company builds homes out of straw bales. And, yes, she's heard all of the jokes."I'【【微信】】 'Three Little Pigs' joke you can think of," Tasker says. "Some good ones, some not so good ones."But the idea of straw bale homes is serious to Tasker."These homes, once they're plastered, are more fire-resistant than con【【微信】】," she says. The secret is in the construction. Tasker uses high-grade straw bales that are packed solid. She says that makes them like phone books, so they smolder instead of igniting in flames. Also, the plaster her company uses to co【【微信】】m dirt, clay, and more straw. The mixture gi【【微信】】ire-resistance rating. Most homes only get a 30-minute rating."The oxygen can't get in to burn," Tasker says.In addition to the fire resistance, Tasker says the homes are en【【微信】】y. The thick bales pro【【微信】】 natural insulation. That blocks sound to 50 decibels. It also keeps the warmth in during the winter and the heat out during the summer."We're actually se【【微信】】e walls," she says of the process. "We're helping to re【【微信】】th these buildings. And as people start to put those two things together, we're getting a lot of business."Tasker says straw homes ha【【微信】】han 100 years and came to California in 1996. Now, she estimates more than 60 are in use in San Diego County. She says the size of the bales can be a drawback, as it takes up 【【微信】】e on smaller lots. She also doesn't recommend building any higher than two stories. As for bugs or rodents, Tasker says they can't get into the walls because of how densely packed the bales are.E【【微信】】, which are typically made from traditional wood and studs, are packed with the straw/clay mixture. The construction price is comparable to con【【微信】】 with similar insulation and efficiency ratings. Tasker thinks the idea will catch on as more people become more aware of the way these homes can help the planet. As for the little pigs jokes, she wrote a book called "The Story of the Fourth Little Pig." She uses it when she makes presentations to schools and children's' groups to help explain the concept. 2482

【【微信】】, Calif. (KGTV) -- 【【微信】】co has pulled parts of the country out of po【【微信】】, but the prosperity there turns deadly as money-hungry cartels take hold of the market. While there's brutality below the border, there's a history in the homegrown in San Diego. "San Diego is the biggest producer of a【【微信】】alifornia," said farmer Noel Stehly. 10News took a trip to Stehly Farms in North County where you'll find more than 250 acres of the flourishing fruit. The land has been in Stehly's farm for decades. "Those that buy California, great, but if you want it in No【【微信】】, you want a Haas avocado, its not going to come from California," said Stehly. Stehly said the water that feeds his farm is not what it used to be. The water now comes from the Colorado Ri【【微信】】 California. "I don’t ha【【微信】】rrigate everything on my farm," said Stehly. "The price of water has gone up exponentially. Our water system in the state of California is broken and nobody's gonna fix it."The composition of the water has also changed with high le【【微信】】 his crop. The water issue is causing production on the farm to go down. "I do sell a lot less, I grow a lot less," said Stehly. "It's sad.
